Angelim Pedra Origin:
Angelim Pedra is found in South America, primarily in Brazil and Guyane.
Workability:
Angelim Pedra is easy to work with both hand and machine tools and can attain a smooth finish.
Uses:Because of its durability, Angelim Pedra is popular for decking or flooring and is often used in exterior construction and boatbuilding. It is also a desirable wood for fine furniture, especially when wide widths are needed.
Color:The heartwood has a beautiful rich color; varying shades of reddish-brown and darker vertical striping. The sapwood is a lighter color and not always clearly defined.
Janka Hardness:3,160 (extremely hard)
Decay and Weather Resistance:Rated as very durable and decay and insect resistant. It is a strong, dense wood.
