Cebil Origin:

Cebil, also known as Patagonian Rosewood, can be found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Peru.

Cebil Workability:

Cebil is a very durable, hard, and dense wood. Because it is so hard it can be difficult to work with, severely blunting cutting edges. Therefore, carbide tools should be used.

Cebil is used for exterior construction, railroad ties, marine uses and indoor for flooring, furniture, and turnings

It is similar to cherry in color, but once a clear finish is applied it has a much richer red color. Frequently you will find beautiful dark streaks throughout the wood and is often figured.

3630 (Extremely hard)

Cebil is rated as very durable and can be used for many outdoor applications. It is resistant to termites, though susceptible to other insect attacks.
